I heard these steps from another person many years ago.

I forget who that was. So, here are the steps without attribution.

1. Learn to tell yourself the truth about yourself
2. Learn to tell yourself the truth about someone else
3. Learn to tell the truth about yourself to someone else
4. Learn to tell the truth about someone else to that someone else
5. Learn to tell the truth most of the time
